Artist's Statement: A Reasonable Sacrifice is a commentary on the inherent violence and delusion of the "good guy with a gun" hero fantasy and America's willingness to trade its children's lives for its toys. A portrait of petulance, inaction, and greed it is intended to force the question: has our chronic lack of empathy arrived us to the point of no return?
